About Bluntisham and Colne

We are a group of about 40 ladies with ages ranging from 32 to 90, who get together monthly for various activities including listening to speakers, outings or demonstrations.

For those who want to do more, each month we also have a book club, a lunch meet, a walking group, and a crafts afternoon.

In 2017 we've looked and listened and learnt new things from the true origins of fairy tales to behind the scenes at Westminster Abbey. We've walked many miles, and eaten many lunches, visited  Hemingford Manor and gardens, getting our WI into the  News winning the National Brasket competition and provided and planted bulbs and primroses in the local villages. We look forward to seeing the fruits of our labour in Spring 2018. Locally we helped at the Sayers Festival celebrating the life of the well known author Dorothy L. Sayers, daughter of the local vicar who settled in the Parish of Bluntisham.

In a weeks time we will kick off 2018 with our New Year Dinner and look forward to what our WI year has in store. We'll have walks and lunches, birthday celebrations and outings, a garden party and maybe a  trip to the Spa or theatre  or to see the Snowdrop Gardens.

Whatever we do, we enjoy ourselves, and that is the ethos of our WI.

We also have a facebook page where you will see photos of recent activities and updates.
