2012 the Beginning

2012 saw the start of a new Godmanchester WI, its predecessor WI having closed some years earlier as members reduced in numbers. The new small group of founding members were mostly new to WI but felt that it was something they very much wanted to see on offer in the Town.  With help and support from the Federation and past WI members they set about establishing a brand new Godmanchehter WI.  They were clear that it should have a wide and varied programme and should reflect the sort of modern WI they want to be part of.  We owe them a debt of gratitude as without their willingness to get the new group started we wouldn't be enjoying the WI we have today - thank you ladies.
