We’ve been online since last year and its enabled us to keep our WI open. We’ve had some wonderful speakers from far and wide, such is the flexibility that joining a meeting by Zoom allows.  And we’ve managed some technical hic ups seamlessly when we have lost speakers into the ether and had to improvise!   We managed to meet up outdoors over the summer and it was lovely to see so many friends, including some past members who are waiting for us to return to face to face meeting so they can re-join. We even attended our first community event in September, Gala Day, where we able to promote our WI and fundraise.

At the time of writing this note (October) we are advertising the first meeting in person since March 2018 as being later this month.  We are adapting our virtual programme back into an ‘ in person’ one!  Whilst our membership numbers have been smaller than pre-covid, we have been delighted to welcome some new members to our group throughout the year and expect to grow once face to face meetings resume.
